United we Stand, Divided we Fall
Membership in the Canadian Small‑Cap Public Companies Association (CSPCA) provides a structured and transparent forum through which small‑cap public issuers and market participants can contribute to informed dialogue on securities regulation, capital formation, and market structure affecting Canada’s small‑cap public markets.
The Association is non‑partisan and evidence‑driven. Its purpose is to ensure that regulatory and policy discussions reflect the operational realities, risks, and capital‑raising challenges unique to small‑cap public companies, while supporting market integrity, investor protection, and confidence in Canada’s public markets.
Membership Standards
All members are expected to support the CSPCA’s mission, values, and commitment to constructive engagement. Membership does not imply endorsement of any individual issuer, investment product, or market activity. The Association does not provide investment advice and does not promote specific securities.
The CSPCA operates as a collaborative platform to advance balanced, well‑informed discussion on regulatory modernization, capital access, and market structure, recognizing the importance of both issuer sustainability and investor protection.
Through its membership, the CSPCA seeks to contribute meaningfully to policy outcomes that support a fair, efficient, and competitive Canadian public market for small‑cap companies.
Eligibility and Membership Categories
Issuer Membership
Issuer Members
Issuer membership is open to executives and directors of small‑cap companies that are listed on a Canadian stock exchange. These small-cap companies are typically early‑stage or growth‑oriented companies for whom proportional regulation, access to capital, market liquidity, and fair disclosure requirements are essential to long‑term viability.
Issuer Members form the core constituency of the CSPCA and inform the Association’s policy priorities through direct engagement and collective representation.
Individual Issuer membership is priced at $100/year
Corporate Issuer memberships are priced at $300/year and allow for 5 individual appointees
Professional Membership
Professional Members
Membership is also open to professionals and organizations that work directly with, or have expertise in, Canada’s small‑cap public markets. This includes legal, accounting, compliance, capital markets, investor relations, trading, research, and advisory professionals whose experiences contribute to informed, practical policy discussions.
Professional Members provide technical insight and market perspective but do not supplant issuer‑led advocacy.
Individual Professional membership is priced at $50/year
Corporate Professional memberships are priced at $180/year and allow for 4 individual appointees
Public Supporter Membership
Public Supporter Members
The CSPCA welcomes engagement from investors and members of the public who have an interest in the health, transparency, and sustainability of Canada’s small‑cap public markets. While these supporters do not participate in governance, policy discussions or policy development, they can submit their regulatory questions and concerns to the CSPCA and thus play an important role in strengthening market understanding and public awareness of small‑cap issues.
